Meet Your Mayor

Friends and Neighbors,

Your new administration has had a progressive and aggressive first year getting Tenino back on track. We now have all of our department head positions as well as full time employee positions filled and by very capable and professional public servants, it feels like all cylinders are now firing and in a coordinated fashion. You may have noticed some improvements to some of our park facilities and city buildings; we’re making a conscious effort to be better stewards of our facilities and look forward to sharing these continual upgrades with you as well as our efforts to find ways to finance these improvements through grants and local experts. We have made significant strides in our communication and community outreach efforts over the past year, our new website is receiving praise as well as increased traffic, we have held regular town hall meetings on various subjects and we diligently issue press releases on subjects of public concern. The year 2017 will be a big year for Tenino, as we, as an administration, will be working to invigorate our code enforcement capabilities to both ward off neighborhood decay and protect the value of your greatest investment (your home). Tenino is a very special place to all of us and I thank you for the opportunity to serve you as mayor.

Respectfully,

Wayne Fournier
